Frequently Asked Questions
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FOR MY FIRST SESSION?
During your first session with our practitioner, she will spend time exploring your health objectives. Through reviewing your health history and muscle testing she will determine which healing modalities your body needs. During this first session you may or may not receive acupuncture, however, you will receive care that is determined based on the exam. You can expect to be here between 1 hour - 1 hour and a half.
DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE?
We recommend checking with your insurance provider and verifying if acupuncture is covered. We can provide a superbill which can be submitted by the patient to their insurance for approval.
HOW LONG SHOULD I PLAN TO BE THERE?
Sessions can vary depending on the needs of each patient. For a single session, it could last between 45 - 60 minutes. A double session can last between 60 - 90 minutes. Please note * that all new patient sessions are double sessions.*
WILL I ALWAYS GET ACUPUNCTURE?
Every session is tailored to the needs of the patient. There are times when the body does not want needles and therefore would not get acupuncture. You will however receive other meridian therapies that our practitioner specializes in.
WHAT IF I CAN'T MAKE MY APPOINTMENT?
For all first-time patients, we require a minimum of 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. For existing patients, we require 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule to avoid a fee.
HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR ACUPUNCTURE?
Wear comfortable clothing. Sleeves and pants should be able to roll up. Be well hydrated. Have an open mind about your experience.
