Licensed Acupuncturist

Erika is a Southern California native raised by her parents who came from Costa Rica. During her younger years, her mother worked in a hospital, so most of her experience and knowledge came from Western Medicine. It was when she was 12 years old and her father was diagnosed with diabetes that she began to realize that the food he was eating was negatively impacting his health. At the time, the idea of food affecting our health was not a widely understood nor an accepted belief in Western Medicine. Erika was also struggling with digestive issues, acne, and low self-esteem and knew she wanted to find the root cause of these issues instead of simply trying to cover them up.

Between her own health issues and her father’s diabetes diagnoses she started to wonder, “if we changed the way we eat will that have an impact on our health?” She was guided to start seeing an acupuncturist who also practiced herbology & homeopathy. The introduction of these three natural healing modalities further sparked her curiosity about the body and how food can be used as medicine.  It was the first time she felt she had control over her own health and she had the ability to heal herself.  Since that day she knew it was her calling to help others realize that they too have the innate power to heal themselves and live a healthier life naturally.

Erika has been a practitioner of Eastern Medicine which includes Acupuncture, Herbology, diet, nutrition, lifestyle for more than 20 years and has helped thousands of her patients.  She earned her Master of Science degree in Oriental Medicine from Samra University in Los Angeles and also received additional training at the China Beijing Int’l Acupuncture Training Center in Beijing. She is extensively certified in Neuro Emotional Technique, Quantum Neurology and Neuro Integration Systems. Erika is dedicated and committed to empowering her patients to take control of their health and help them reach & maintain a state of balance & harmony.
